And once again I just wanted to take a quick minute to let you know that you all are absolutely incredible. Over the past few weeks, I have traveled and preached at youth camps in central California out to Massachusetts, making my way out to the Santa Cruz area today to speak to the high school students of a Japanese family camp. As I’ve traveled over the past weeks, you all have been praying for me and have reached out to me to see how I’m doing. Those gestures mean so much to me. Here’s what I’ve seen God do over the past few weeks:
- I saw about 20-30 middle schoolers surrender to Jesus, becoming his followers and receiving his salvation.
- I saw about 40-50 high school students surrender to Jesus, becoming his followers and receiving his salvation.
- I’ve seen you all donate over $2,000 of school supplies to the foster care agency that we partner with. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Earlier this morning (Sunday morning) I spoke at the Pomona campus of Purpose Church. With all of these times away, please know that I hurt over not getting to see you. This calling that God has on my life to preach his word means that there will be worship gatherings that I will have to miss, but I am so thankful that God has blessed us with other amazing teachers who love Jesus most and preach so faithfully and effectively.
So thank you for being a community about Jesus. Thank you for being a community that truly loves me and mine. Thank you for loving each other so well. Thank you for celebrating over our Family Worship times when the little ones come in and show us how to worship Jesus without any reservations. Thank you for being you. I am beyond blessed and honored that I get to walk through life with you all. You all truly the most amazing community of Jesus on the planet.
I’ll see you next Sunday morning (August 4). Love you all more than you know.
