“It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”Deuteronomy 31:8 (ESV)
As you face your week, I just wanted to quickly remind you of what we saw from God’s word this past Sunday.
1. God goes before you. He is not leaving you to figure things out as you go. Rather, he has already gone before you. Since he has gone before you, he knows what he’s doing and where he’s going.
2. God will be with you. Not only does God go before you, but he stays right with you. He doesn’t run ahead of you, leaving you to fend for yourself and face things alone. Rather, he goes before AND he stays right with you.
3). He’s not leaving you. That’s right! He is not going to leave you. So during those times when you’ve followed him and things seem dark and bleak; when it seems like God has fallen asleep on you or has gone quiet on you, trust what he tells you. He is not leaving you.
4). Don’t freak out. Because of the fact that God goes before you, that God will be with you, and that God will not leave you, don’t freak out. Don’t allow fear to take you to places where God is not wanting you to go. Let the truth of God’s word and the reality of his presence truly impact you, driving fear far away as faith leads, guides, and comforts you.
He goes before you. He is with you. He’s not going anywhere. So don’t freak out. You can trust him.
Love you all more than you know.
