Deuteronomy and God’s Approach for Economic Development

This is a two-week (September 8 + 15 in Modular 3) looks at the book of Deuteronomy, taught by Chris Shore, to take a closer look at how God has set up work and economy and caring for the poor, to name a few. You do not want to miss this.

DESCRIPTION OF THE CLASS:
Do you run your own business? Does someone employ you? What does God think about creating wealth? What about poverty?

The Bible is about more than how to have a relationship with God. That is central, but the Bible talks about how we are to act with ALL that God has made. Since God made humans, and humans work to make money and provide for themselves, guess what? God cares about economics. God cares about the poor. God cares about the poor moving out of poverty.

The book of Deuteronomy is a GREAT place to see God’s plan for Economic Empowerment of the poor.

Irrelevant? Jesus talks about this in the Sermon on the Mount and the Lord’s Prayer.

It’s an ancient approach to a modern issue.
