INTENTIONAL HALLOWEENIDEAS FOR REACHING YOUR COMMUNITY
Halloween may look a little different this year, but we still want to be intentional in our neighborhoods.
We’ve put together a few ideas, being as safe as possible, for you to reach out to your neighbors, with the purpose of loving them well and introducing them to Jesus.
YOU'VE BEEN BOOED
Start a neighborhood BOO-BASH!
1.) Make 2 copies of a sign that reads, “You’ve Been Booed!”
2.) Place one of the signs in your window
3.) Secretly deliver yummy treats to one of your neighbors, include the sign and instructions
4.) BOO your neighbors and have them pass on the fun to others in your neighborhood
Some people may be hesitant to come up to your door this year, so set up and decorate a table in your front yard to let them know you are home and have a special treat for the kiddos.
Be mindful of people’s comfortability and have the treats available so the kids can easily access them without reaching into a bowl. Here are a few ideas: Hang the candy from a hedge or gate or try “Candy Sticking,” where you attach the individually wrapped candy to a stick and poke them into the ground throughout your front yard.
Don’t stay inside! Greet your guests as they come by; kids still want to say, “Trick or Treat!”
