Hey Purpose Claremont,
This morning, as I read Exodus 35, I couldn’t stop thinking about you. Why? Because it described you all PERFECTLY. Here’s what I mean.
In Exodus 35:4-35 (and actually into chapter 36 as well), Moses and the people are getting everything ready for the tabernacle that God has instructed them to build so that he could dwell with his people. Notice the following:
“Take from among you a contribution to the LORD. Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the LORD’s contribution…” ― Exodus 35:5
“Let every skillful craftsman among you come and make all that the LORD has commanded…” ― Exodus 35:10
“Then all the congregation of the people of Israel departed from the presence of Moses. And they came, everyone whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved him, and brought the LORD’s contribution to be used for the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments.” ― Exodus 35:20-21
“All the men and women, the people of Israel, whose heart moved them to bring anything for the work that the LORD had commanded by Moses to be done brought it as a freewill offering to the LORD.” ― Exodus 35:29
Don’t you see it? EVERYONE had a part to play in this. Those who were moved in the spirit and could give a contribution did so. There were certain people who were skilled in craftsmanship, a couple, especially, who were filled with the Spirit to design everything that would go in the tabernacle. Some dealt with the linens and garments. As you keep reading through chapter 36 you see that the people brought so much because they were all so moved that Moses had to tell them to stop being so generous because they had more than they needed.
So like I said: when I read today’s reading you all came to mind. It blows my mind how you have stepped into ministry positions with a passion and desire to see God glorified and for people to come to Christ. You’ve used talents to bless the church community. You’ve given financially to the work that Jesus is doing in and through Purpose Claremont. I am absolutely HUMBLED by all that you all are doing as well as so excited to see how God will continue to use you to see everyone everywhere following Jesus.
So thank you for being amazing. Thank you for being all in for the cause of Jesus. You all mean so much to me and I’m so thankful that I get to walk this journey with you as we strive to impact our zip codes for Jesus.
Love you more than you know,
