I just wanted to remind you all about our Walk for Water happening this Saturday, May 4th. Today (Tuesday) is the last day to register for it. The cost is:
To put this into perspective, I was told this by our very own Chris Shore who works for World Vision. For every $50 (so one adult registration fee), a child somewhere around the world, will have clean drinking water for the rest of his/her life. That statistic stopped me in my tracks. Clean water for the rest of his/her life.
And why is it a 6K (4 mile) walk. Because that is the average distance that so many people around the world have to walk in order to find clean water to live off of. I was so humbled to hear that. I walk to a faucet to get water. I can walk into any grocery store and buy a bottle of drinking water.
So I wanted to encourage you to be part of this year’s 6K Walk for Water on May 4th. All of the information, along with the registration link, can be found RIGHT HERE. If you’re busy on the 4th, no worries. I am too. With a graduation in the morning and a wedding that I’m officiating in the afternoon, I just can’t be there on the 4th. That’s why I’m meeting a few people from Purpose Claremont at June Vale Park on Friday, May 3 at 8am to walk then.
If you have any specific questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Mary Browning (email@example.com).
Thank you for being part of the most amazing community of Jesus lovers I have ever been a part of. Thank you for constantly stepping up to the plate and going above and beyond for the cause of Jesus.
I truly do love you all more than you know,
